Hello my name is Rene Dunford and I'm a movieholic... Unlike other beginnings that start this way, I am not ashamed of this one. Ever since I was young I was entranced with movies and where they could take a person. They can make a person scared, laugh, cry, wish, hope, dream and inspire. Movies provide an escape from life an alternative reality if you will. For two hours you are whisked away to another place, another story, another time.
In fact, thanks to "Julie and Julia" I have finally started my own personal blog. For months now I have been wanting to start a blog, but the inspiration and motivation so very easily evaded me until I was truly inspired.
Now here I am at 27 years old, a government employee (air traffic control), listening to music on my brand new mp3 player graciously gifted to me by my lovely wife (Cathy) of whom I've known since 7th grade. I am writing my very first blog as Cathy sits on the couch kitty-corner to me wrapped in a blanket watching the golden globe awards with our little Shih Tzu, "Ash" sitting faithfully by her side and I am feeling pretty good.

Great post! Your writing sounds just like you talking. I guess that's what makes it interesting to me. I have listened to you talk most of your life. You do have the gift of gab. This will be an interesting blog to follow. Mom
